তরুশাখেমূলে 

এক নীরব নিবেদন 

এত ফুল নিয়ে এত ফল দিয়ে

 এক নিবিড় বন্ধন। 

ফুলের বাহারে 'পরাগমিলন' 

 গাছ কত সচেতন !

ফলের মধুতে বেবাক মায়াতে 

 প্রানীদের দিল বেঁধে 

বীজের ভেতরে Gene এর আখরে 

কত কৌশল সেধে

নিজে বেঁচে থাকে প্রজাতিকে রেখে 

 গাছে 'বোধের' উৎক্রমণ।

বিজ্ঞান কাঁদে পড়ে এই ফাঁদে 

গাছে 'মাথা' 'স্নায়ু' খুঁজে ফেরে 

'আত্মা' হাসিছে মানুষেরে ঘিরে 

করে মু্র্খেরে দরশন।

### A Silent Offering

Beneath the branches, such an array,

A silent offering today.

With so many flowers, so many fruits,

A bond so intimate, it roots.

In blossoms’ splendor, pollen’s embrace,

The tree’s awareness finds its place.

In fruits’ sweetness, a tender care,

Binding creatures everywhere.

Within the seed, in genes’ silent script,

So many strategies are tightly gripped.

To live, it leaves its kind behind,

In trees, a consciousness refined.

Science weeps in this cunning snare,

Searching for ‘head’ and ‘nerve’ there.

The ‘soul’ laughs at humankind,

Showing wisdom to the blind.
