Avatar Sri Ramkrishna came to unite the All. He had Samadhi or Trance looking baby Jesus in the lap of Mother Merry.
There is a nice similarity between two words :Krishna and Christ. Both are very similar to here. 'Krishna' if you utter it in a bit harsh voice it will be 'Khrishna'. 'Christ' , you write it 'Khrist' then see,'Khri' part are in both two words.
Ramakrishna called Jesus Christ RishiKrishna and we , who are PostRamkrishnian Hindu, adore Jesus as one of the our Avatar like Hazarat Muhammad also. Today we think ourselves not only Bengali,not only Indian, but a human. This whole mankind is our neighbours and all the world is a home.
"BOSUDHEVA KUTUMBAKOM" This is our Vedic teaching. This has evoluted in widest sphere after Sri Ramkrishna. Only the Hindu can think it so widely. No other religions in the world has so acceptance. Whatever we do ins and out we remain Hindu.
There is a nice devotional similarity between the Ramakrishna,HIS the 12 disciples and 12 disciples of Jesus.Swami Vivekananda took their Sannyas on the day just before 25th December remembering this Holy BirthDay of Sri Jishu and they are also 12 in number.
In this context I like to mention that in the1st January the kalpataru utsav is celebrated in Ramkrishna mission and the western country follows the 31st December as a great festival for the end of the year and coming the new year. Both are Festival. But Sri Ramkrishna has given a new dimension for the Hindu's own festival on this date.
Of late Sri Gurudev Swami Debananda Giri Maharaj is also celebrates the on the same date as Maha Milan Utsav.

I am offering my pranams and my respects to the Lotus feet of Lord Christ with His 12 disciples and also to Sri Ramakrishna and His 12 disciples, Who being a Bengalee , had crossed the boundaries of narrow religions. And adopted the Christ and His disciples as their own.

আজ ত্যাগের সংকল্পে উদ্বুদ্ধ হওয়ার দিন। 1886 খ্রী:19শে ডিসেম্বর স্বামী বিবেকানন্দ তাঁর আট গুরুভাই সহ হরিপাল রেল স্টেশন থেকে পদব্রজে যাত্রা করেন আঁটপুরের উদ্দেশ্যে। 1886 খ্রী: ডিসেম্বর মাসে নরেন্দ্রনাথের গুরুভাই বাবুরামের মা শ্রীমতী মাতঙ্গিনী দেবী নরেন্দ্রনাথ ও অন্যান্য গুরুভাইদের আঁটপুর গ্রামে আমন্ত্রণ জানান।তাঁরা সেই নিমন্ত্রণ রক্ষা করতে 1886 খ্রী:19শে ডিসেম্বর হরিপাল স্টেশন থেকে পদব্রজে আঁটপুর যান।
নরেন্দ্রনাথ,বাবুরাম,শরৎ,শশী,
তারক,কালী,গঙ্গাধর,নিরঞ্জন ও সারদা কিছুদিন আঁটপুরে থাকেন।আঁটপুরেই বড়দিনের পূর্বসন্ধ্যায় নরেন্দ্রনাথ ও আটজন ধুনি জ্বালিয়ে সন্ন্যাস গ্রহণের সংকল্প নেন।
1886 খ্রী: 24 শে ডিসেম্বর (13 ই পৌষ 1293) আঁটপুর।সন্ধ্যা পেরিয়ে গেছে অনেকক্ষণ।বেশ রাত।তারা ভরা আকাশ।সামনে জ্বলছে ধুনি।ধ্যানে নিমগ্ন ন'টি যুবক।শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণের নয় ভক্ত।শেষ হল ধ্যান।শুরু হল ঈশ্বর নিয়ে আলোচনা।সেখানে মূল কথক অবশ্যই একজনই,বাকিরা শ্রোতা।যীশুখ্রীষ্টের জীবনকথা শোনালেন তিনি।অনেকের ত্যাগের মধ্য দিয়ে কীভাবে খ্রীষ্টধর্ম ও খ্রীষ্ট সম্প্রদায় ব্যাপকভাবে জগতে প্রসারিত হয়েছে তা শোনালেন।তিনি বোঝালেন,জগৎ কল্যাণে নিজেদের উৎসর্গ করতে হলে ত্যাগই বড় কথা।আর এর প্রথম ধাপ হল সংসার ত্যাগ।সৃষ্টি হল জগতের সর্বকনিষ্ঠ সন্ন্যাসী সম্প্রদায়ের যা জগতকে দেবে এক নবীন আদর্শ, 'আত্মোনো মোক্ষার্থং জগদ্ধীতায় চঃ'। নেতা বিবেকানন্দকে কেন্দ্র করে ন'জন গুরুভাই উঠে দাঁড়ালেন, ধুনির অগ্নিশিখাকে সাক্ষী রেখে সংকল্প করলেন মানুষের স্বার্থে সংসার ত্যাগ করবেন।সন্ন্যাস নেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিলেন। নরেন্দ্রনাথ (বিবেকানন্দ),বাবুরাম (প্রেমানন্দ),শরৎ (সারদানন্দ),শশী(রামকৃষ্ণানন্দ),তারক (শিবানন্দ)কালী(অভেদানন্দ),নিরঞ্জন(নিরঞ্জনানন্দ),গঙ্গাধর (অখন্ডানন্দ) এবং সারদা(ত্রীগুণাতীতানন্দ)।
